Known as Becouya in the 17th century, Bequia is the northernmost and largest of the Grenadines, a chain of islands stretching some sixty miles between St. Vincent And Grenada.
Bequia remains one of the most unspoilt and natural of all the Caribbean islands and whilst only seven square miles and numbering just under 5000 people, there are enough smiles and friendliness for double that population.
The island was once a busy center for whaling and boat-building and Bequia still retains its traditions and skills based on the sea. The superb anchorages, coupled with the traditional nautical lifestyle, have brought many visiting yachtsmen to drop anchor in Admiralty Bay.
With some of the best cruising available in the world, yachts of every size and description still enjoy our rich and serene atmosphere.
